This year more people are discovering the joys of nature. The outdoors offers comfort, inspiration, and an escape. With the winter season fast approaching, we anticipate getting out on the mountain and back on the snow. We look to this new season with hope and thoughts of healing.
At the same time, we face ongoing pressures and challenges due to the pandemic. While a host of unknows lie ahead, we do know our community is resilient, has embraced digital engagement, and is eager to come together. Our priority every day remains your health and safety, so we are shifting Outdoor + Snow Show from an in-person event, originally scheduled for January 27-29, 2021, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, to a fully online experience and launching Outdoor Retailer Winter Online.
Continued developments have made it impossible to bring our community together safely and successfully in Denver. This is due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, including current government restrictions and limitations on large gatherings imposed by states and other local government and public health authorities; the inability for a significant part of the Outdoor Retailer community to travel to the show due to travel restrictions and bans; and the various company-imposed travel restrictions on employees affecting attendees and participating companies.
We learned a lot through our first digital show this summer, and we are taking that knowledge to bring you an enhanced digital marketplace, networking hub, and education center. Outdoor Retailer Winter Online will come to you this winter and allow you to:
- Discover new brands, products, contacts, and leads;
- Connect to brands, reps, retailers, buyers, designers, media, creators, and more to buy/sell, build relationships, and invest for the future; and
- Engage with the whole of the community through live video, one-on-one chats, and an expanded education schedule – all one click away.
This next iteration is based directly off your feedback and addresses specific needs during a time where shows across the country and around the world have been cancelled. A significant new addition is the integration of artificial intelligence (AI). Outdoor Retailer Winter Online will be powered by AI, inferring likes and dislikes, suggesting matches, using data to drive leads, and creating a uniquely tailored experience for each exhibitor and attendee. It will be easier than ever to find the people and products for you.
