August 7, 2019 — Tecnica Group Canada today announced the appointment of Martin Lafleur to the position of National Sales Manager for the Nordica brand, continuing his impressive 35-year career in the ski industry that began at André Lalonde Sports and the last 24 years as Alpine Hardgoods buyer at Sports Experts in Montreal. During his time at Sports Experts, Martin continued to rise within the organization, serving as Director of Equipment and Vice President of Equipment. In addition, Martin was a member of the Strategic Planning Committee as well as the Alpine Advising Committee. He was part of the successful growth of the Sports Experts brand in Quebec, placing the Group as a strong leader in the market. Commenting on his new role at Nordica, Martin said, “I am very happy and excited to be part of the Tecnica Group in my new role of National Sales manager for the Nordica Brand. I’m looking forward to working very closely with my team in Canada and the retailers.” Martin will begin his new role on September 2nd.
Tecnica Group Canada also announced that Stephen Charrier, Director of Global Sales & Marketing for Rollerblade, will assume responsibility for sales management in Canada. Stephen has been with Rollerblade for 25 years and was most recently Co-President of Rollerblade USA before assuming responsibility for global sales. Stephen’s extensive executive experience with Rollerblade complements his earlier career as Hardgoods Buyer for Oshman’s Sporting Goods. Commenting on his new oversight for Rollerblade Canada, Stephen said, “The Canadian market is quite different than most markets around the world. We have an incredible team in place and I’m looking forward to leveraging my long history with Rollerblade to grow our business in Canada and support our retail partners”. Stephen will begin his new role immediately.
Louis Blanchard will assume the role of National Sales Manager for Tecnica Footwear. Louis will apply his extensive technical knowledge and rich history of the Tecnica brand to support the continued growth of Tecnica Footwear. “I am proud to have been part of the Tecnica team since 2010 and am excited by this new challenge to work closely with our Specialty Outdoor Retailers, the Tecnica Sales Force and the dedicated in-house team to grow the Tecnica footwear program.” Louis will begin this new role immediately.
