Canadian glove brand Auclair and Ski Sport Finland have started a partnership for the upcoming years. Auclair, founded in 1945, arrives in their 75th season on the scene as determined as ever to make an impact.
The Canadian glove brand is popular in Freestyle and Nordic sports. Auclair has been partners with Canadian National Teams for more than 30 years, as well as the USA National Freestyle team for more than 10 years. Individual athletes, such as skier Mikael Kingsbury are also part of the Auclair family and is working on development together with the brand.
“We look forward to aligning with the Fearless Finns and support their efforts to make a similar impact on the world scene. Being world class takes a vision for success and then undertaking the hard work necessary to reach these goals.”
Ross McCracken, Auclair’s Vice President Marketing & Business Strategy
The new RACE FUSION glove was awarded the ISPO Gold Award for innovation in 2019 and gave recognition to the efforts made by Auclair to push boundaries of performance, protection and fit.
“Our partnership with the Fearless Finns will allow us to observe, listen, and learn from world class athletes using our products under the harshest of conditions. This process will feed the product development team and keep them focused on creating innovative designs, developing new materials, and driving performance through athlete validation.”
Guy Darveau, CEO of Paris Glove Canada
“Auclair’s innovation and desire to develop high-quality racing gloves together with athletes provide an excellent basis for a productive partnership. Auclair is on the same bold path as we are and together, we want to make an impressive result.”
Marcus Sandell, Project Manager at Ski Sport Finland
It’s been a decade since Auclair was last present in the Alpine Skiing World Cup. Alpine racing is in Auclair’s DNA, but the brand needed to have the right product to make a return to the World Cup circuit. The award-winning RACE FUSION glove is that product.
