SKATING IN THE SIX: Toronto Maple Leafs entertain fans in public skate outside city hall

Maple Leafs take the subway and take it outside

OK, now the Maple Leafs know what City Hall looks like when jammed with fans who’ve come to cheer them.

Many commuters were startled Thursday around 11 a.m. when a mass of Leafs got into their full equipment, sans skates, at Scotiabank Arena, walked as a team through Union Station and took the train to Osgoode Station. Goaltenders Frederik Andersen and Garret Sparks were even in full pads.
