Outdoor clothing brand Peak Performance with its roots in Sweden is continuing to expand its operations in Canada.

Peak Performance opened a franchise store in Oakville in October 2016 – its most recent bricks and mortar location. It has had store in Whistler, B.C., for about seven years, and a store in Brossard, Quebec for about five years. He said the Whistler store is by far the brand’s biggest and best store.

“We intend to expand and grow the wholesale business,” said Christopher Clementoni, Country Manager Peak Performance Canada. “My mandate coming into this business after being at adidas for 10 years was to start acting like a big brand, not to say we didn’t before but we didn’t necessarily spread our wings as far as we could initially. Our focus now is we’re in growth mode and we’re taking the business to the next level in terms of expanding our wholesale. “

Our business in Canada has been relatively incubated in Quebec from a wholesale perspective mainly because this is where our office is. This is where we had the most sales agents” adding that a restructuring took place moving away from the agent model to a team on in-house sales representatives. “Right now we’re looking at a national expansion. We’re looking to open key accounts in different areas to grow our business.”
