Fastest Growing Premium Indoor Cycling Chain in the U.S. Chooses Toronto for First Canadian Franchise
CycleBar, a new concept in premium indoor cycling that offers a high energy workout in a concert-like atmosphere, has chosen Toronto’s Leaside community as the home for its first Canadian Franchise. In the past year, the number of CycleBar studios in the U.S. have grown at a rate of 4+ per month. This rapid expansion demonstrates the demand for this exciting new fitness experience and CycleBar Leaside’s Canadian franchisees expect the trend to be just as popular in Toronto. The Leaside location at 1866 Bayview Ave. opens on March 6, 2017.
From Thursday March 16 to Sunday March 26, 2017, CycleBar Leaside will hold its CycleBlast, to celebrate its grand opening by offering 50 free classes over 11 days. Registration is required at leaside.cyclebar.com.
“I come from a business background but fitness has always been an important part of my life,” said Doug Lennox, owner and operating manager of CycleBar Leaside, who has competed in eight CrossFit competitions and ten triathlon races, including two full Ironman events. “As CycleBar’s first Canadian franchisee, now I have a chance to combine both my passions.”
The CycleBar Leaside workout experience includes professionally engineered light and sound systems, energy-enhancing video graphics and even a DJ booth. The state-of-the art CycleTheatre is set up in tiers for 50 bikes, which allow riders to track performance data as they workout. Classes are 50 minutes in length and are led by CycleStar instructors hired from the Leaside and surrounding community.
“More and more Canadians are choosing to workout at boutique fitness studios,” says Doug. “And Leaside is such an active, vibrant area, it’s a natural fit for CycleBar’s focus on supplementing the health benefits of working out with the social experience.”
As an active community member, CycleBar Leaside does more than just help people stay in shape, it also offers individuals and groups the opportunity to fundraise for local charities through regular CycleGiving events.
