Looking Past 2020 || Calm Leadership Is What’s Needed

Dear Industry Colleague.

As I write this, I’m reflecting on the fact that the world we live in is quite different from what it was just a few months ago.

The sports industry and business community were one of the first to be hit hard by the response to the coronavirus pandemic.

I know many in our industry have cancelled important events, closed stores, and ramped up virtual communication alternatives. As these announcements have become a daily occurrence, for the foreseeable future, the regular robust content delivered by the CSGA Weekly will be reduced as not only our industry but the world adjusts to ‘where-do-we-go-from-here’.

It is wonderful to see how our industry companies are focusing on the health and safety of workers, figuring out how to operate effectively with that in mind, and being responsible by minimizing risk to all.  We are hearing from industry colleagues who are looking to next year, and strategic changes they are considering. Every option is on the table as we all #WFH. Work culture will need to adjust to the new normal, in which toddlers and flatulent dogs are our coworkers. It inevitably will.

Lastly, it is wonderful through these difficult isolating times to be in contact daily with industry colleagues. We remain grateful for what we have and will move forward supporting our family, community and the CSGA in the most effective way we can.

Take care, be safe, and reach out anytime.

Julian
