Eurobike looks to attract consumer-direct brands and others

Eurobike gears up for future success – Tomorrow starts here & now

Eurobike’s organizers are changing some policies in order to engage consumer-direct brands, brands with large dealer events, and other companies that have seen little value in attending trade shows.

Friedrichshafen June 3, 2019 – Eurobike’s organisers are realigning the flagship show. In order to generate maximum possible benefits for the industry and its participants, the leading number one bike trade fair is now offering unrestricted access to Eurobike and all its sub-brands. As such, the obligation to have a stand in Friedrichshafen, as was previous practice, will no longer apply in future. “We want to drive the whole industry forward. This means that we are prepared to break the taboos of international trade fair business,” says Klaus Wellmann, CEO Messe Friedrichshafen Klaus Wellmann. Full implementation of the structural changes will take place from 2020 onwards.

The overall concept of the Eurobike show is being restructured. “Each edition of the fair demonstrates anew just how much the industry needs a central, leading event. Everybody in the bike business comes to Lake Constance, whether they are exhibitor or trade visitor. In future, brands will be able to officially take part at Friedrichshafen, without having to commit to an elaborate booth. We are also offering new analogue and digital configuration options, with different price models,” says Project Manager Dirk Heidrich, referring to the fact that a large proportion of trade show expenditure goes on stand construction. “There is great potential to ease the burden here. We see ourselves in the future as a provider of business solutions to multiple client partners, and not just as a trade show organiser for exhibitors.”
